Rodrick Dixon, Alfreda Burke, and Jo Ann Daugherty bring classic songs from many eras and genres to the stage at Freedom Hall.

Soprano Alfreda Burke’s vocal artistry has been described as “voluptuous, creamy, and luxuriant” (Chicago Tribune). She has appeared in concerts throughout North America and Europe. Rodrick Dixon possesses a tenor voice of extraordinary range and versatility that has earned him the respect and attention of leading conductors, orchestras, and opera companies throughout North America. http://www.sopranoalfredaburke.com

Burke and Dixon’s combined careers include starring in the acclaimed PBS Special, Hallelujah Broadway, as well as performances all over the world in China, Italy, Prague, London, Canada, and Australia. In the United States, they have performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Hollywood Bowl, Ravinia Festival, Lincoln Center, and the historic Auditorium Theatre. Ms. Burke and Dixon were featured in PBS Great Performances Now Hear This “Florence Price and the American Migration” (2022) and they also sang in the historical Mayoral Inauguration of The Honorable Lori E. Pianist, conductor, musical director, recording artist, composer, and arranger Jo Ann Daugherty loves making all kinds of music. She is currently touring the US as Music Director/Conductor of SIX the Musical first national tour. Her work as a music director and keyboardist has led to conducting and playing with touring Broadway productions (SIX, Jersey Boys, Motown the Musical, and more); arranging, directing, and performing concert specials for PBS with Under the Streetlamp; AND playing productions with Lyric Opera of Chicago (Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story). https://joanndaugherty.com/
