The Park Forest Main Street Music Fest is held in conjunction with the 63rd Annual Park Forest Art Fair. The Music Fest will be on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Main and Cunningham streets in downtown Park Forest. The event is FREE to the public.

Rhythm System performing from 11:00 am – 11:45 am. Teenage 3 piece Blues, RnB, and Neo-soul conglomerate that loves to bring the groove to their audience!
Kaben Kafö – Djembe Drum Ensemble performing from Noon – 1:00 pm. Kaben Kafö, created by Taylor, is a djembe ensemble comprised of some of Chicago’s most studied and gifted djembe/dunun professionals. West African dance moves will be taught to the audience, so you can feel what djembe music serves – movement!
Jo Ann Daugherty Trio performing from 1:20 pm – 2:30 pm. Pianist Jo Ann Daugherty performs in jazz festivals and clubs throughout the U.S. She conducted Broadway touring shows (Jersey Boys, Motown: The Musical), PBS broadcast concerts, and performed in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Lyric Opera. The Trio includes Joshua Ramos (Ramsey Lewis) on bass, Ryan Bennett on drums.
Tempero Brasileiro performing from 2:50 pm – 4:00 pm. Tempero Brasileiro is a Brazilian music flute and guitar duo performing choro, samba and other Brazilian popular music featuring Neal Alger, one of Chicago’s premier jazz guitarists and Julie Koidin, Brazilian choro specialist and radio show host on WFMT. Special guest on percussion, Heitor Garcia.
John Primer performing from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm. John Primer is a Chicago Blues Living Legend. He’s played at Maxwell Street, Theresa’s, Checkerboard and Rosa’s Lounges. The depth of history and tradition that runs in John’s blood from decades of master blues classes he took from all the Blues Godfathers builds his music catalog and unique style.
